• Image Browser


Have you ever been searching for the perfect image to use in your project, but never found just what you’re looking for? Well PhotoPlus 8 allows you to preview images stored in folders by generating thumbnails as you browse using the new Image Browser. This is a great time saving device which eliminates having to open and close numerous folders just to find the particular image you need.

• Image Extraction

We’ve all had the situation when we think we’ve taken the perfect family photo, only to find there’s an unsightly object in the background. This scenario is no problem for PhotoPlus 8’s Image Extraction Tool. All you need to do, is select the particular part of the image you want to remove and let this great little tool do the rest!

• Background and Flood Eraser

Now you’ve extracted the unsightly object, but how would you like your photo to appear as though you were on a Caribbean beach. No problem for PhotoPlus 8’s Background Eraser. The Background Eraser will erase the colours which you choose to select from the background without erasing the main focus of the photo.

• Layers

Working with Layers is fundamental to photo-editing. PhotoPlus 8 benefits from a number of improvements which will help you keep on top of things. The improved Layer Manager comes complete with thumbnail previews and the built-in Autoselect for rapid navigation in multi-layered images will certainly save you time.

• Instant Artist


Have you ever fancied trying your hand at painting? Well with PhotoPlus 8’s Instant Artist Painting Effects, you can apply a whole host of interesting painting styles to your photo. Have a go at transforming your scenery photo’s into Van Gogh masterpieces!

• Smart Resize

Another smart addition to PhotoPlus 8 is the handy Smart Resize feature. It allows you make your images bigger without compromising on quality. No longer will your enlargements appear blurred with this new improvement in PhotoPlus 8.

• Masking

We’ve all used masking tape at some point in our DIY attempts, well now PhotoPlus 8 has improved this great feature. Much more powerful, the PhotoPlus 8 Masking Tool allows you to make selected parts of your image as transparent - hence making them invisible. If there’s a particular part of you image that you don’t want to alter, apply this tool and leave it untouched.

• Picture Paint Brush

The new Picture Brush Tool within PhotoPlus 8 is a great new feature. It works like a custom brush that sprays a series of predefined images, at regular intervals as you drag. This is particularly useful to create themed documents within PhotoPlus 8.

• Instant Effects


Within PhotoPlus 8, the possibilities for improving the appearance of your photo’s are endless once you get to grips with the Instant Effects Gallery. The gallery is packed full of different effects to add character to your photos. Simply click on the effect you’d like to try and see the effects - instantly!

• Additional Import Options

Within PhotoPlus 8 we have much improved the import options and you can now import images from a much wider range of sources and formats - including new Paint Shop Pro support.

• 3D Effects

Do you find that a few of your photo’s are looking a little flat? Do you need something to bring them to life? Look no further - with PhotoPlus 8 you can add astounding 3D Lighting and Surface Effects. So if you want a particular feature to stand out - play around with the many effects possible within PhotoPlus 8.
