Here are some tips for formatting your JPEG artwork file for dye
sublimation production, so that it will print properly on your personalized
coffee mug.
| Orientation |
| Coffee mug blank template is in landscape (horizontal) orientation.
Artwork wraps around the mug on either side of the handle leaving
a white margin at the top and bottom of the mug. The width of
the artwork has been carefully measured as not to place the
image too close to the mug handle. Otherwise, the artwork near
the handle may fade due to the colder temperature of the ceramic
mug near the handle. |

Artwork Placement for a Right Handed Mug
|
| For a right-handed mug, place artwork you want to appear on
the front of the mug on the right side of the template print
area. Artwork you want to appear on the back of the mug is placed
on the left side. |
| |
Artwork Placement for a Left Handed Mug |
| For a left-handed mug, place artwork you want to appear on
the front of the mug on the left side of the template print
area. Artwork you want to appear on the back of the mug is placed
on the right side. |
| |
Color Palette |
| Coffee Mugs are printed using a dye sublimation print process.
This allows you to use all colors and shades of colors in a
four color spectrum. Your computer monitor displays colors in
three colors (red, green, blue or RGB). Print your artwork on
a color printer connected to your own PC before submitting it
to a professional printer to verify that the colors appears
as you wish. Printed colors on the mug may be similar to what
you see on your computer monitor, but not exactly the same. |

Image Resolution |
| Please ensure that any imported images are at least 175 dots
per inch (dpi) resolution. If they are lower than 175 dpi, they
might look slightly blurry or jagged when printed. Do not exceed
300 dpi as it does not improve the quality and unnecessarily
increases the file size. |
| |
Scaling |
| We do not recommend enlarging imported images much larger
than their original size. This causes the image to lose quality,
especially when printed. Note: If you are using
an image that you downloaded from a web site, it is likely that
it is 72 dpi. Typically, it is not possible to improve the quality
enough for high quality printed output. |
