Tutorial: Create
a Personalized Coffee Mug
Personalize the coffee mug by placing graphic images (i.e. photos
or clipart). You can draw shapes from scratch, fill them with color,
and apply color effects i.e. gradients, shadows, bevels, etc.
Let's place a photo over the background color.
From the File Menu, browse for
the file you want and click Open the file.
Important! The height
of the image must be at least 3.0" (or 3.5"
for a 15 oz. coffee mug), which is the maximum height of the coffee
mug artwork. The resolution (dots or pixels per inch or dpi) must
be at least 175.
If necessary, reduce the height of the image size to 3.0" (or
3.5" for a 15 oz. coffee mug).
From the Image Menu, click Image size...
Enter the height: 3.0
Click OK.

Press Ctrl+C to copy the image.
Click
the first file with the background color.
Press
Ctrl+L to paste the image. The image automatically
becomes a new layer.
Rename
the new layer: Double-click the new layer in the Layer Manager and
change the
name to something that will easily identify the contents
of the layer i.e. sunset.

The pasted image above will appear on the back
of the coffee mug. Click the Move Tool
to move it to a different place within the artwork.
